Mike,
I have a ’72 Nova sub frame under my street rod and stock springs are way to stiff. Do you know what the spring rate of a stock Nova with a V-8 is and do you have softer front springs? – Ron
Ron,
The 72 Nova with a V8 used many different springs. The actual engine size and whether or not the car was equipped with a/c or not were some of the determining factors in what spring was used. With all that said, spring rates for ’72 Nova’s ranged from 280 lbs up to 380 Lbs. Without checking your spring in a load tester, there is no way to know for sure what your spring rate is.
To get you the right spring we need to establish a “benchmark”. The way we do that is by sending a set of springs, you install them and work the springs by driving the car. Then you let us know how she sits and rides. If something needs to be changed we at least know for sure what is under the car and will know what set of springs you need to make it sit and ride as you want.
We will exchange springs, you pay all shipping charges. – Mike
