On this One Minute Monday, we look back at the extreme variety of applications we manufacture springs for.
Not all our time is spent making springs for the vehicles we drive in shows. Besides the springs we make to keep your vehicle on the road, we have also made some springs for some very unusual non-vehicle applications like:
- Springs for tackling dummies
- Springs for giant size of bobbleheads
- Springs used on some security barriers
- Springs used on the locks on rivers to raise the lower boats
- Springs that make Santa’s reindeers go up and down
We have even made the leaf springs used on a launch pad for rocket ships!
Then there are the springs we have made for some very unusual vehicles like:
- The recreation of Henry Ford’s 1901 sweepstakes and racecar which puts the Ford Motor Company on the map
- Both the leaf and coil springs for the restoration of General George Patton’s army tank
Springs for several vehicles that have taken part in many peeking into Paris races and springs for some vehicles that have been in several of the across South America races.
But our biggest pride and joy has been making the springs for all the Oscar Meyer Wienermobiles.
