Mike,
I bought EATON mono leaf springs from one of your dealers for Camaro coupe. They fit the car but don’t seem to be the right because the car sits too high.
How can I tell if they are the correct springs?
If they are correct, why is my car sitting so high? Will they settle?
The car is a work in progress and the only thing missing is the gas tank which when full would add about 120 Lbs.
The front of the car is completely stock, original coils etc. I have not done anything to it. The arch in the new mono leaf springs is much greater than my 40 year old springs which is to be expected, but I thought the new springs would sit better than this.
Thanks for the help.

Daral,
The correct spring for your Camaro coupe is the ML001. The free arch of the ML001 is 6 1/4 Inches. The free arch is measured by running a line through the centerline of the spring eyes and measure down to the top of the spring at the nib. The spring must be off the car to do this. Go here for instructions on Leaf Spring Measuring.
When the springs are installed on an incomplete vehicle, they are not supporting the finished, or nearly finished, weight of the vehicle. Once the vehicle is finished the springs may have too much of a preload that would prevent them from sitting at their designed height.
One suggestion we make if the springs were installed early in the restoration, is when the vehicle is 98% completed loosen the eye bolts, shackles and u-bolts, let the suspension relax and then retighten.
Let me know how everything turns out.
